Shukhrat Otajonov, director of the National center, received a delegation of representatives of GSBIO, a private seed breeding company of the Republic of South Korea. This company has been working in the field of potato seeds since 2008. We know that Uzbekistan imports 255 tons of potato seeds per year. In order to provide farmers of our country with high-quality seeds, this foreign company recommended its proposal to breed the world-famous potato microtubers on the basis of public-private partnership. The South Korean side will bring Santa, Picasso, Novaki, Chubek and Summi varieties of potatoes to our Republic with a license and multiply them in vitro.
